The Guides

Red Childress (Small photo right) has been guiding on the Allegheny River for the past 13 years. He has many impressive citation fish to his resume. His specialty is guiding clients to trophy browns and rainbows as well as trophy muskies. One of his favorite techniques during the 'dog days' of summer is guiding clients after dark for big browns and muskies.
If a winter trip is what you are looking for, the Allegheny River is the place to be!! The river rarely freezes from the Kinzua outflow to the city of Warren. If in the rare case the river does freeze prior to your trip, we will bust out the ice the day before to ensure your trip is a success.
